Swept Aside by Sharon Sala was wonderful. I love anything which incorporates the weather as it adds just that extra bit of unleashed danger. Sharon Salas latest trilogy which begins with Blown Away, continues with Torn Apart and concludes with Swept Aside really has all the danger that a weather system can bring as well as all the romance anyone could want. The series begins with a devastating tornado in rural Louisiana, a murder and a case of mistaken identity, then just rolls on with more excitement than you can stand. If you’ve ever been in a tornado, and I’ve been in everything, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, Blue Northers, floods, and several arctic winters in Maine, you’ll appreciate Ms Sala’s descriptions of the havoc weather can wreak on the bodies and souls within a community. Swept Aside is her conclusion and we see all the threads tied up and the town beginning to heal. This episode is the story of a missing child. His mother is told that the tornado took him when he was left alone on a playground. We soon find out however that something even more sinister has happened to the little boy. It’s a wonderful exciting story and a wonderful exciting trilogy. I would highly recommend all three books in the series.
